I have been in private practice since 1996 and I am an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine. As a multi-boarded physician, [board certified medical specialist in internal, pulmonary, sleep and geriatric medicine] I have an opportunity to see thousands of patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and nursing home setting. I continue to remain passionate about patient care and stand by giving my patients the care and time they deserve.

According to CALTCM's current Bylaws: "The Policy & Professional Services Committee (PPSC) shall review and recommend policy issues and positions to the CALTCM's Board of Director's. They shall represent CALTCM at long-term care (LTC) industry, public policy, and government meetings, monitor legislative trends and actions, and act as a forum to set medical director and LTC practice guidelines." CALTCM's PPSC also collaborates whenever appropriate with AMDA's "parent" Public Policy Committee (PPC).

Further objectives of the presentations are to help participants choose optimal medication management options; review the risks, adverse effects, benefits and alternatives of various approaches; clarify appropriate monitoring plans and suggest ways of preparing patient-specific, pain-relieving, regimens.
