October 6-7, 2022 (Thursday & Friday)Location: Pacific Palms Resort ~ City of Industry
The CALTCM Summit for Excellence is designed to engage and benefit direct care practitioners - all members of the post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) interdisciplinary team and administrative leadership. After two years of virtual meetings, we are excited to host this year’s summit in person and reconnect with colleagues and friends. Engaging content is available for the entire interdisciplinary team and in-person meetings will allow us to return to dynamic learning experiences. Varying clinical hot topics and two “In The Trenches” sessions give you the opportunity to individualize your education. This year’s summit focuses on person-centered care, positive culture change management, and trending clinical best-practices. Topics include cultural competence and humility, person-centered assessment and care planning, and updates on treatment recommendations and care guidelines. Sessions range from medicolegal and policy updates, updates on medical/mental health diagnoses (osteoporosis, fractures, bone health, atrial fibrillation, heart disease, diabetes management, pharmacological updates, mental health rates and diagnostic accuracy), culture change (consensus leadership, addressing equity, cultural humility, cultivating respect for staff and residents, and recognizing and celebrating staff to improve satisfaction and retention), and a host of hot topics identified by our comprehensive needs assessment.
