Pre-conference sessions begin Thursday evening, with a Collaborative Medicolegal Summit: Strange Bedfellows.  This promises to be a very interesting conversation that may very well make the difference in whether you are named in a lawsuit or how you’ll fare if you are!  Friday morning’s interactive, team-focused Best Practices pre-conference will highlight some of California’s most innovative new ideas in Long Term Care and will benefit the entire IDT.  Friday afternoon sessions focus on making a safer, more enjoyable work environment through teamwork, collaboration and culture change.  Saturday’s clinical hot-topics will give expert guidelines for managing the complexities of frail LTC patients, disaster preparedness considerations in LTC, as well as regulatory issues and sessions on palliative care, advance care planning and end of life care.  All this, with plenty of time to ask questions and network with others!
