Program Overview

Welcome to the 50th Annual Meeting of the California Association of Long Term Care Medicine (CALTCM). This milestone event brings together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and innovators dedicated to advancing the field of post-acute and long-term care (PALTC). We are excited to present a comprehensive program designed to provide valuable insights, foster meaningful discussions, and inspire innovations and best practices in the care of our aging population.

This year’s program has been designed to provide flexibility with a blended learning program which includes 10 hours of live, in-person sessions for interactive and engaging learning experiences, complemented by 8 hours of asynchronous content. Whether you prefer the dynamic environment of in-person classes or the flexibility of online learning, this program is tailored to meet your educational needs and fit into your busy schedule while giving you the opportunity to recharge. Please visit our accreditation page for CME/CEU details.

We look forward to having you join us for a unique experience that balances professional growth with personal self-care and relaxation in one of California's most picturesque locations.

Reasons to go: (Bring 3 or more persons from your team and save $$$!)

  1. CALTCM is the only association based in California that is solely focused on serving the needs of healthcare and administrative professionals in PALTC.
  2. CALTCM is the recognized voice of medical leadership in PALTC.
  3. At the same time, the CALTCM Annual Meeting curriculum is designed to engage and benefit direct care practitioners - all members of the interdisciplinary team and administrative leadership.
  4. CALTCM’s Annual Meeting focuses on getting the right professionals engaged in the right conversations that help California-based PALTC professionals:
    • Stay current on best practices to be the driver of quality, patient safety, and person-centered care,
    • Keep ahead of compliance needs across the continuum of care,
    • Learn ways to recruit for and optimize performance of their interdisciplinary teams, and
    • Engage in dialogue related to risk management and overall corporate strategy.
Note: CALTCM recognizes that CMD-accreditation predicts higher quality of care for long-term care facilities (JAMDA, October 2009) and has intentionally designed its CME process to help Medical Directors achieve and maintain CMD-accreditation.  For example, CALTCM CME credit segmentation is aligned with that of AMDA/ABPLM (i.e., Clinical Medicine and Medical Management segments).
