Celebrating Excellence: Honoring California’s Certified Medical Directors
This spring, as we recognized both Long-Term Care Physician Day and National Physicians Day, we take a moment to celebrate a remarkable group of leaders in our field—California physicians who have achieved Certified Medical Director (CMD) status.
Medical Directors play a critical role in shaping clinical standards, guiding interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring that care delivery within skilled nursing and long-term care settings is safe, effective, and patient-centered. Achieving CMD status signifies not only expertise, but also a willingness to lead, to innovate, and to continuously elevate the practice of geriatrics and a deep commitment to excellence in post-acute and long-term care.
At CALTCM, we are proud to recognize and celebrate these physicians for their achievement and their ongoing contributions to the field. Check out CALTCM’s Honor Roll and see if your medical director or colleagues are on the list!
