CALTCM 38th Annual Meeting - Program Overview

California Association of Long Term Care Medicine (CALTCM) is proud to present the 38th Annual Meeting entitled Enhancing Comfort and Safety: Pain, Sleep and Risk Management. This two-day conference highlights critical strategies to improve nursing home patient safety and comfort by demonstrating techniques and tools for the interdisciplinary team to adapt to their own facility needs.
Highlights of Enhancing Comfort and Safety: Pain, Sleep and Risk Management include presentations covering the assessment and treatment of most frequently encountered pain and sleep issues in long-term care setting; quality improvement strategies and Advancing Excellence goals; role of leadership in risk management, quality assessment and performance improvement; and ways to enhance patient care while reducing SNF exposure to citation and liability. Through a series of didactic lectures, case-based learning, discussion/feedback panels and interactive poster sessions this conference will focus on approaches that will enhance safe patient care practices and empower participants to explore and institute changes appropriate to their own facilities.
