4th Annual Summer Geriatrics Inter-Disciplinary Conference:
Enhancing Physical, Cognitive and Social Function in Older Adults

Presented by Arizona Geriatrics Society
In collaboration with Banner Health and Health Services Advisory Group Inc.

August 11, 2010
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Phoenix, AZ

Functional status is essential to the health and well-being of older adults. Acute and chronic illness superimposed on physiological aging can lead to functional decline and result in loss of independence, decreased socialization, depression and risk for institutionalization. Thus, recovery and maintanance of function is an essential aspect of all geriatric practice. This conference will explore state-of-the-art programming and strategies that can enhance the physical, cognitive, and social function of older adults along with innovations in technology that promote independence in a variety of settings.

Target Audience: Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners (PAs, NPs), Nurses, Social Workers, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists would benefit from this program. CMEs are available.
